i am sure that the watchtower did reprints of ct russels books of "studies in the scriptures' in the early 80's, can anyone confirm this ??.

i just stumbled on this site today, and am i ever glad i did!!!
i was raised as a witness, my mom being a witness and my dad a non believer.
growing up i never wanted to follow all the rules, and often broke them behind my mothers back.
i beleive in most of the stuff the WTS taught me, except the parts that are unique to them them, eg. 144,00 FDS, 1914, Jesus not on a cross.. etc..

in an earlier thread last week i posted that the wts has a new website to accept literature orders.
this is incorrect, i need to clarify.. the wts is changing the dates it is accepting literature orders.
this seems like a good idea, roblem is the WTS has being telling us for years not to use computers to keep records. maybe its new light.
i was watching a tv program where someone was swearing an oath to tell the truth and nothing but the truth, their hand on the bible.
now i know that there are a lot of christians here, and that wouldn't be a problem for them.
but what about the rest of you?

I’ve being baptized for 20 years now, I’ve seen a lot of injustices and also known some crook elders, but I also thought that they were isolated cases, I was made to think that it was something that was only happened in my congregation and things like this don’t happen normally. I moved around to serve where need for greater etc and still saw injustice. Finally I went threw a bit of a problem, and for the first time I personally tasted a Committee and really could feel how cold they were, and so I asked myself, “If this is what I’ve gone through, what has others gone through?” and then I went against all advice of the WTS and when on the internet. I still remember the chill that went through me when I read about Russell,1914 and the pyramids, and how I’ve being fooled and lied too in the pass 20 years.
i am still desperately looking for documentation of cases where jw's have lied under oath, a decision has been reached by the court based on perjury committed by a jw, or the like.
i am helping on custody cases where they are urgently needed right now.
you can help a child.
I did a srch on google. typed in "jw lying court" and I got a list of links http://www.rickross.com/reference/jw/jw84.html http://www.macgregorministries.org/jw_lawyers.html .. this site had an interesting line... This is "justified lying" in their minds. Since they also believe that all others except Jehovah's Witnesses are under the control of Satan, including the courts, they feel quite smug about doing so.

The Unforgiveable is going about God's spirit Luke 12:10 "And everyone that says a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but he that blasphemes against the holy spirit will not be forgiven it" Is going on this board blasphemes? They seem to think it is, because they are told that the WTS is God, and going against them is going against God, but the problem is that we here now know better then that. Also its not up to them its up to us to decide what is OK with our consceince. Ro2:15 "They are the very ones who demonstrate the matter of the law to be written in their hearts, while their conscience is bearing witness with them and, between their own thoughts, they are being accused or even excused." I can't see how speaking to other people in an upbuilding way can be viewed by God or any normal person in their right mind as Blasphemes !!!!!!!
i'm on the phone as we speak, with my sister.. i told her i didn't feel like complicating my situation by implicating/involving people that are not "certified" in assessing my situation.. her reply "you are so scaring me.

Thats the Spirt of the WTS not Jehovahs. If someone disagrees with them, thats when they say that you dom't have Jehovahs spirit, classic scare tactics... its them who have satans sprit.
do you think that if a person was an elder that when he comes on these boards, he still thinks and acts like an elder??

I always noticed it was a sad fact that the good ones would stand down out of protest to any injustices they saw, yet once tey did stand down they were silenced, the C/O didn't want to know about them anymore and he would only do his talking to the existing Elders who were the chooks to start with. If some are here on this I find them a useful source of info, but I must say i would feel very sorry being an Elder in the Watchtower, misleading the flock, DFed some of them, ruining Families, thinking I was doing it all for God and then only to find out it was a Cult of Lies. I’m sure there must be a measure of guilt and angry in them now.
